Questions, gently answered.
About counseling with Margaret, the video series, and finding the right place to begin.
Working with Margaret
Does Margaret offer in-person counseling?
Margaret has met with individuals and couples in person for nearly four decades. She is not currently accepting new clients, but that may change soon — please check back here for updates.
In the meantime, Margaret is glad to recommend other therapists she trusts. Email her and she can point you toward someone who’s a good fit.
Can Margaret recommend a therapist near me?
Yes. Send a short note to margaret@soaringchristiancounseling.com with what you’re looking for, and she’ll share therapists she recommends.
Are these videos a substitute for therapy?
No. They’re meant to educate and encourage, and many people find them a helpful companion to counseling. If you’re struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional in your area.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, U.S.) or dial 911.

Are the videos really free?
Yes. Every video is free to watch on YouTube, with no sign-up required. Subscribing to the channel is the easiest way to hear when new ones are released.
Where can I find the YouTube channel?
Search for SOARING with Margaret Phillips, or go straight to youtube.com/@Soaring_CC.
Do I need to share Margaret’s faith to benefit?
Not at all. Margaret’s teaching is rooted in her Christian faith and in decades of clinical training. Some videos draw directly from Scripture; many focus on practical tools anyone can use.
Which video should I start with?
Start with whatever is weighing on you most. If you’re anxious, try Exercise to Lower Your Anxiety. For your marriage, Asking Directly is a wonderful first step.
Can I contact Margaret?
Yes — questions or comments about the videos or The Marriage Ark are welcome. Visit the contact page.
Margaret would be glad to hear from you.
