What this website collects, why, and who it’s shared with. In short: very little, only to serve you, and never sold.

This website, soaringchristiancounseling.com, is run by Margaret Phillips, Soaring Christian Counseling (“we”). This policy explains what information the site collects when you visit, contact us, or buy the audiobook, and how it’s used. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use advertising trackers.
Information you choose to share
- Video suggestions. If you use the “Suggest a topic” form, we receive your suggestion and, if you add them, your name and email. The form is processed by our website host, Netlify. We use it only to plan future videos and, if you asked, to reply.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your message and email address and use them only to respond.
- Audiobook purchases. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Stripe shares with us your name, email address and purchase details so we can provide your download and help if you need it. Stripe’s use of your information is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting. Like most websites, our host Netlify keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to run and protect the site.
- Audiobook downloads. Each purchase has its own download link. To limit how often a link can be opened, we record its purchase ID and the number and time of visits. This is not linked to any advertising profile.
- Settings on your device. The site remembers your light or dark mode choice, music volume and the track you were playing in your browser’s own storage. It stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.
- YouTube videos. Videos play through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play one, YouTube may collect information under the Google Privacy Policy.
Google and YouTube data
To keep the video library up to date, this website uses YouTube API Services with read-only access to Margaret’s own YouTube channel, to see her uploaded, scheduled and private videos and list them here. It doesn’t access, collect or store any visitor’s Google or YouTube account information. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Sharing
We share information only with the services that run this site (Netlify for hosting and forms, Stripe for payments, YouTube for videos), when the law requires it, or to protect the site and its visitors. We never sell it.
How long we keep it
We keep suggestions, emails and purchase records only as long as they’re useful for the purposes above or as required for tax and accounting. You can ask us to delete your suggestion or contact information at any time.
Your choices
You can browse the site and watch videos without giving us any personal information. You can clear the site’s saved settings through your browser. To ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email us.
Counseling and children
This website shares educational content and is not a counseling service; please don’t send private health information through the site. The site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date above.
